Thank you for supporting our farmers and food producers!
Since our founding in 2005, ACORN has been weaving a more resilient, localized food system in Vermont’s Champlain Valley by providing support to farmers and food producers, deepening agricultural engagement in our community and ensuring access to local healthy food for all.
From the Tour de Farms and Champlain Valley Guide to Local Food and Farms to the Farmacy: Food is Medicine program and our Online Wholesale Market and Farmer Climate Network, ACORN, serves as a catalyst for developing local, sustainable and collaborative solutions that adapt to current times.
Grassroots fundraising from our community members and community partnerships contribute to over 30% of our annual operating budget. We literally cannot do this work without YOU!
Make a Gift of Securities
We are happy to accept gifts of stocks and bonds and can provide you with transfer instructions. Donating appreciated securities is an efficient way to make a meaningful gift because it allows you to avoid paying the capital gains tax. This is because when you make a charitable gift of securities held long-term, the donation you make and the deduction you get are greater than they would be if you were to sell the shares and donate the cash proceeds instead.
Thank you for your interest in making a gift of stock to ACORN! Please follow the below instructions. It is important to contact Lisa McLaughlin Wyncoop, Development Manager, at lisa@acornvt.org, or 802-989-4873, to ensure your gift is properly designated to ACORN.
The gift of securities can be transferred to the ACORN account by providing the following transfer instructions to your broker exactly as follows:
Account Number: 795-29302
Bank Office Address:
Edward Jones
PO Box 66906
Saint Louis, MO 63166
